Pik and Khim: Mapping Human Form Statement

Mapping Human Form

The map represents a human body visualized as several circles lining down below one another. Measurements of the circles are taken from each part of the body’s circumferences. Newspaper cutouts of multiple eyes are to be placed within each circle.

A survey is carried out on 81 students (41 females, 40 males) of Design I class based on one question: “When you see a woman, which part of the body will you look at first?” The results are taken to determine the number of eyes mounted on each circle: many views (crowded with small eyes) and some views (contain big eyes with some blank spaces). The part with no views will be removed from the map.

The overall map composed of two parts; the left side (pink) shows which part females will notice first on a woman’s body while the right side (blue) shows which part males will notice first.
