For behind the curved wall, I had no way to tell what's inside. Though when I knocked the wood from inside the room, it was hollow except for a place where there seems to be a pillar. I kind of guessed.

Kanoon's Container
Experiment:
According to the last preview, we talked about a "leaked-water container". So, before thinking of the container, I need to know where exactly the water come out.
1. at the cap,
when we spray with length of the cap and the upper-body is too far (,about 1.65 cm).
And when the spray is rotated upside-down or cap pointed downward, even the cap is in closed position.
2. at the joint between the upper-body and the lower-body,
Sometimes leaks if it doesn't close tightly enough (in normal position).
And it will probably leaks when the spray is rotated upside-down or cap pointed downward, even you do nothing.
In my opinion, I would focus just on the leaked in normal position (without thinking of any rotatation) because I believe that the spray was also made to be used in that way :p
Container Sketch:
Aim of the container is to collect leaked-water while the object is doing its work (spraying water)
so, according to the sequence of the spray..
Materials:
Obviously, all of my materials must be waterproof, such as, plastics, rubber, elastic. I think of -eh I don't know what you called in English but it is something like the bottle at left..
All I know is it is a product of rubber tree :D and it is available at any stationary shops. I have never play with it too, the final product of it might be soft elastic rubber-like?
For the tube, I am going to find some tube that is similar to the tube is used inside a spray, as its unity.
And sorry for the super-extremely-absolutely late.
If you want to know, my situation now is, I am at a house where my family live (,I used to live in condominiam in my university day) so what you can see in the photos' background are a bit mess..

To fit with the limited area below the cap, I came up with the idea about a small box and a tube,
by letting the box receives leaked-water (,its surface area is larger than tube's) and then the tube will send them into a container below. The container might be sited around the yellow area.
As you can see in the picture, if there is the box under a cap, the user's fingers which are holding spray will be decreased and that are not very comfortable to use. So the container in yellow area will be a stand for 2 remaining fingers.Materials:

tutorials on Wednesday
Dears,
Could i please have an update on your flood situation and if you think will be able to make it to school on Wednesday.
If you would like to meet somewhere else, we could plan this ahead...
Else we will have Skype or blog tutorials.
But i would really prefer meeting you physically.
Let me know also if you are in trouble or if you need help.
There will be a seminar related to the flood tomorrow afternoon at school - starting at 5 pm and organized by Ajs Nilay and Kerrie. I recommend that you attend it if you can.

Aj.Camillee,
Due to flooding situation, stationary stores around my house are closed. So I don't have enough materials to work on it and I need to go get them from other stores. I'll get them today and hopefully will finish my first mocking container tonight. And I will post on your blog by tonight. Here is what I have right now. :)

What about the rest of you?
Munkong, I contacted one of my electronic musicien and visual artist friend Maurits Fennis.
Here is what he replied about your project:
" About your student, His idea is good, but it is very difficult to do. I think he requires a circular speaker setup, or a speaker setup in a straight line of a minimum of six speakers. He should use a technique called Granular Synthesis, which is a technique to generate sonic impulses. with this, he will be able to generate line shapes and two dimensional geometric figures. If he wants to do anything more, he'll will have to get into Wavefield Synthesis, which is very advanced, and I feel would perhaps be too difficult for him. Please tell him to contact me; I will be glad to help. "
So i can give you his email contact if you want ---

Container
Some rough ideas for the containers

First is a clear container that can be used as pot. Since babies symbolize life, containing something living like plants would fit to the idea. Also it would have many connectable parts like limbs that can be added or remove. More limbs than the original 4 can be added. Some connections to the limbs (such as the head) can be closed so it controls and contains the growth of the plant. The same idea can be used as a fish bowl too.. ?
The second idea spawned from a joke. Since the baby doll was freaky, it could be a container of nightmares. The container is basically the doll with modifications to enhance the creepy qualities. Like adding holes so when you twist it something squirts out or it opens in a weird way. This was more of a passing idea.
The third idea concentrates more on the material and connection. It can twist and contort and fit inside a larger container for optimization. Designed to contain items such as food. Though I'm not sure on how to make it.
I'm sorry I did not get to post earlier. I was busy moving things to higher grounds.

Since my object is a shinkansen pencil sharpener, so I want my container to be train track. I think the container should be able to lock all the functions of this pencil sharpener, shouldn’t it? I know that the design I have is way too much. However I'm working on simplifying it and on finding materials that suits the object.
URGENT
Ms. Camillee,
For the rendering part, do you want us to do it on tracing paper or the regular paper? Because Khim told me that we supposed to do it on tracing paper but I thought you told us to do it on regular paper for rendering and do the line drawing on tracing paper.

When you put the mouse in, the weight of the mouse will turn the container upside-down due to the unstable composition (as in the design) of the container.
Thus, the mouse will also turn upside-down.
CONCEPT:
Referring to the fact that the first mouse was dubbed as "the mouse" because it looks like a mouse, the idea is used here.
When a mouse dies, one of its position is that its stomach faces upwards. The fact that the "container" turns upside-down when the "optical mouse" is placed on it refers to the imitation of the mouse's death position, and also to the point that "the mouse (the real-life mouse — the first mouse)" was invented, comes, then "falls down (can be interpreted literally, or as in falling down in popularity)" and ended its life as the "optical mouse" (in the action of dropping dead, twisting its body upside-down, representing the end of the mouse-using era).
..............
2
CONCEPT:
People have turned to use touch-pads, which "looks nothing like the mouse" (even its name) to perform the same function that's supposedly belonged to the mouse, and thus "the COMPOSITION of the mouse is no longer in standard-use."
Like Frank Gehry's work, I'm exploring and experimenting on "deconstruction" where everything is altered, swapped, and out-of-place.
For instance, this building by Frank Gehry, 'Guggenheim Bilbao':

The roof is not where it's supposed to be (as in general or standard composition), thus it's "deconstructed".
I wanted to try something revolutionary based on the idea of the "container" by deconstructing the mouse to imply the idea that the mouse "doesn't look the same like it once was" and that the standard form that people used to use for the mouse has now "died out".
APPEARANCE:
On the surface it looks like a normal, rectangular box, but inside everything is "altered" and are very "out-of-place".
This refers to how people live on without realising the change, but unseen by the eye the fact is that the age of the mouse is "coming to an end."
..............
3
CONCEPT:
A minimalist design.
Like how the body is "preserved" within the tomb, I tried to apply the same idea on the mouse.
Press the Korean Clay on the mouse to get its shape, then you'll get a container with a blank space inside, perfectly fitted for the mouse to be put in.
When the clay dries, a plastic sheet will be wrapped on its inside to protect the clay and the mouse (I'm also thinking of using a fabric; that will make it a "Mommy Mouse".)
There's also a pretty interesting argument about the mouse here:

As we will not meet before next Wednesday (amd because you do not have much time - but a lot to do - for this project)
we will have 2 virtual rendez-vous:
- post your first ideas and experiments tomorrow before 8pm (text + images)
- i will give feedback
- then you will post your work in progress (drawing + making) for Monday before 1pm.
Penpen, here is Sam Winston's work - look especially at Dictionary Story (maybe inspiring for you?)
If you need to be reminded of what was said during the review, please ask here (specific questions).
And again, you should take notes (or record or have a friend to take notes for you) during reviews....
Once again, we really had a great review and i hope you will continue enjoying working on this project!
